I've been doing therapy for over a decade with sex and relationship-specific issues, as well as general concerns. I am the recipient of multiple awards for my work in the field of sexuality, and I have given many talks & written many publications on the topic of sexuality. You've taken the first hard step by looking for a therapist. I look forward to hearing from you to see if we're a good fit!
About My Clients
Sex, gender, and relationship issues can be some of the hardest topics for people to talk about. I provide a comfortable, judgment-free space to explore your wants and needs, improve communication, and promote intimate, meaningful, and healthy (sexual) relationships. My aim is to help you, and any potentially involved partner(s), to reach your full personal, relationship, and sexual potential in order to lead your happiest and most fulfilling life.
I see people throughout the lifespan, starting with teens all the way through to mature-aged adults.
My Approach
Connection with your therapist has proven to be an essential component of effective therapy. Regardless of the therapeutic techniques used, first and foremost, I provide a safe and welcoming space to discuss your concerns. My aim is to help you, and any potentially involved partner(s), to reach your full personal, relationship, and sexual potential in order to lead your happiest and most fulfilling life. I use an eclectic approach to achieve these goals, tailored to fit your individual and unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), attachment-based, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and positive psychology approaches.
What does a session actually look like? Some clients prefer a more information-based and direct approach, while others have a strong need to feel heard and to share their stories. I work with clients where they are at, while also encouraging them to explore things that may be difficult or uncomfortable, providing support and encouragement along the way. We establish goals and work toward making sure that you can see change and progress as we work together in therapy.
